Are you looking to improve your landscape photography and wanting assistance?
Whether you’re new to photography or have been taking photos for years, Jos is keen to help you advance your journey into the world of landscape photography.
Jos offers private 1 to 1 photography tuition sessions in Hawke’s Bay that are tailored to suit your individual requirements, covering everything from compositional techniques, to exploring basic camera settings and working with light. If desired, Jos will also teach you post-processing skills, from importing and organising photos in Lightroom to basic post-processing and advanced editing in Lightroom and Photoshop. Each session is completely unique, and you will receive honest feedback and advice to help your landscape photography journey, no matter your current experience.
And you get to explore some beautiful Hawke’s Bay locations at the same time!
If you would like to spend 1 day a month (8 hours) with Jos living and breathing all things landscape photography, then you can now sign up for a 12-month mentoring programme. This is for new and existing clients who would like personal 1-2-1 tuition each month - saving $960 when compared to purchasing 12 individual 1-2-1 Full Day sessions.
We can split the 8 hours a month into anything you wish, such as 4 hours doing a sunrise or sunset with 2 hours of processing after (in person or Zoom), followed by another 2 hours of talking about printing, social media or even website portfolio design - every session can be completely unique and allows us to focus on your specific photography goals and ambitions.
Don’t worry, Jos won’t leave you 4 weeks between sessions either, Jos will check in regularly via email to see how you’re doing as well as give you seasonal challenges and photography techniques to explore all year round.

Computer equipment (bring your own laptop with Adobe Lightroom installed on it, if the workshop includes a post-processing session)
Some questions you may have
What if you can’t do a month?
Don’t worry, you can push your session to the next month for no extra charge (this can only be done a maximum of once per month - meaning the max sessions per month is 2). This does mean, however, that if you want to do 2 full days in a row and stay somewhere in-between (if you’re travelling), then you can do a 2-day session in one month.
What if one day a month is too long?
Don’t worry, you can also sign up to half day 1-2-1 tuition sessions. In that case, you can also combine 2 sessions and do one full day.
Want me to travel to you and we shoot one of your local locations together?
My 1-2-1 sessions normally include reasonable travel within Hawke’s Bay. However, if you have a location of yours you want to get the best out of or simply practice at with a fresh pair of eyes (being Jos), then Jos can give you a quote to cover his travel expenses.
What if Jos is away?
Jos does occasionally travel outside the Hawke’s Bay. This could be to host workshops elsewhere or simply to have some time away. In that case, Jos will advise you well in advance and arrange a catch-up session.
